Braces

Straighter teeth,
the proven way.

Braces gently guide crowded, gapped, or crooked teeth into place — and correct the bite while they do it. Metal or clear, for kids, teens, and adults, planned and monitored by a UCLA-trained dentist.

What are braces?

A time-tested way to straighten teeth.

Braces use small brackets bonded to each tooth and a thin wire that, adjusted over time, walks your teeth into better positions. They fix more than looks — straighter teeth are easier to clean and meet in a healthier bite. They work for kids, teens, and adults alike.

Your options

Metal or clear — your choice.

Metal braces

Classic stainless-steel brackets and wires — the most economical option, and effective for even complex cases.

Clear (ceramic) braces

Tooth-colored brackets that blend in and are far less noticeable — a popular choice for teens and adults.

Braces at any age

From a child’s first orthodontic check to adult treatment, braces work whenever the time is right for you.

When braces help

Signs braces could help you.

Crowded or crooked teeth

Teeth that overlap or twist because there isn’t enough room for them to line up.

Gaps between teeth

Spaces that show in your smile and let food pack in between teeth.

A bite that’s off

An overbite, underbite, or crossbite that strains your teeth and jaw.

Teeth that are hard to clean

Crowding traps plaque where the brush can’t reach, raising the risk of decay and gum problems.

Common questions

Braces questions, answered.

How long do braces take?

It depends on how far your teeth need to move — most treatments run about one to two years. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at your consultation.

Do braces hurt?

You may feel some soreness for a day or two after they’re placed or adjusted, and it eases on its own. Most patients settle in quickly and barely notice them after that.

Am I too old for braces?

Not at all — teeth can be moved at almost any age. We treat plenty of adults, and clear braces keep the process discreet.

Metal or clear braces — which is right for me?

Both straighten teeth well. Metal is the most economical; clear (ceramic) brackets are less visible. We’ll help you weigh comfort, appearance, and your goals at your visit.

How much do braces cost?

It depends on the type of braces and how far your teeth need to move, so we give you a clear number rather than a guess. Many dental plans help cover orthodontic treatment, and we offer monthly payment plans. We review your options at your free consultation — no surprises.
