Calm, relaxed patient during a dental visit
Sedation Dentistry

Relax through your visit.

Do dental visits make you feel anxious or uneasy? You’re not alone — and that’s exactly why we offer sedation dentistry. At Care Dental in Huntington Park, Dr. Bradley provides gentle, stress-free care with calming sedation options designed to keep you relaxed and at ease through every step of your visit.

What is sedation dentistry?

Calm, comfortable care.

Sedation dentistry helps you stay calm and comfortable during any procedure — from a routine cleaning to more involved treatment. We offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oral sedation, matched to what you need, so every visit feels relaxed and positive. It also lets us complete more in a single visit, and our team monitors you closely the whole time so you can sit back and let us take care of everything.

Why it helps

Common questions

Sedation questions, answered.

Is sedation dentistry safe?

Yes. Sedation is very safe when it’s given and monitored by a trained dentist. Dr. Bradley reviews your health history first and keeps a close eye on you throughout the visit so you stay comfortable from start to finish.

What does sedation feel like?

With nitrous oxide (laughing gas) you breathe in a calming mix through a small mask and feel light and relaxed while staying awake and able to respond. With oral sedation you take a prescription pill beforehand and feel calm and at ease through a longer appointment. We help you pick the right option at your visit.

Will I be able to drive myself home?

After nitrous oxide (laughing gas), the effects wear off within minutes and you can usually drive yourself home. With oral sedation you’ll feel drowsy for a few hours, so you’ll need someone to drive you. We give you clear aftercare instructions either way.

Is sedation covered by insurance?

Coverage varies by plan, and some plans help when sedation is medically necessary. Most major insurance is accepted and monthly payment plans are available — we review your options at your appointment, with no surprises.

Is sedation safe for children?

When it’s given and monitored by a trained dentist, sedation can be a gentle way to help an anxious child stay calm and comfortable. Dr. Bradley reviews your child’s health history and helps you decide whether it’s the right choice.
